Organisation
There are two types of organisational membership:
- Organisation Member
- Organisation Associate Member
Organisation Member
A community organisation is eligible to be a member of LCSA if:
- the organisation is a neighbourhood centre or
- the organisation is a community managed organisation with a focus on community development, social inclusion and community focused services or
- the organisation is a regional body, and
- the organisation has been nominated and approved
Organisation Associate Member
An organisation is eligible to become an associate member of LCSA if:
- the organisation functions as a neighbourhood centre but is not a community managed organisation
- the organisation is a community based and community managed organisation with a primary focus on specific service delivery.
- the organisation has been nominated and approved for membership
Individual
There are three types of individual membership of LCSA, none of which carry voting rights:
- Individual Member
- Individual (student) Member, and
- Life Member (which is honorary)
Individual Member
A person is eligible to become an individual member of LCSA if:
- the person is currently associated with an organisation which is a member of the association, or
- the person has a recognised record of support for the work of LCSA, and
- the person has been nominated and approved for membership.
Individual Student Member
A person is eligible to be an individual student member of LCSA if:
- the person is a student preparing to work within the disciplines required by LCSA members,
- the person has been nominated and approved
Life Member
Life Membership is an honorary membership status conferred on individuals who have given outstanding service to LCSA and its member organisations.
